Summer Church School begins June 21st! Flyer

Summer Church School Volunteers Needed
Summer is just about upon us, so we are looking for volunteers to assist with our Summer Church School program. We need two adults for each class each Sunday. Curriculum materials and lesson plans will be provided. Our summer school runs concurrently with our 10:00 a.m. worship service. A sign-up poster will be available in Fellowship Hall. This is a wonderful way for adults who do not have young children to assist in our children’s education program during the summer. For more info, contact Dan Thomas.

Volunteers Needed for VBS August 10th–14th
August is still several months away, but you can take an “edge” off our recruiting task by volunteering now to assist with VBS. Teachers and assistants are needed in all of the following areas: study, crafts, recreation, and refreshments, PLUS daily storytellers and youth helpers. If interested, speak to Dan or Jane Renshaw.

Summer Church Camp
Parents, looking for a fantastic spiritual growth opportunity for your children this summer, then consider Summer Church Camp at Camp Meadowkirk in Middleburg, VA. This summer’s theme is “Breakthrough” and will focus on how men and women in scripture were transformed through their encounters with Jesus. Camps for Grades 3-6 include Community Camp. God & Country, Artastic Craftacular, and Eco Camp. Camps for Grades 6-9 include such options as Rustic Camp, Night Owl, and Middle High Adventure and Grunge Camp.

Morning Hour
Our Morning Hour educational program for Preschool & Kindergarten children takes place during the 9:00 a.m. Worship Hour. It is generally led by Dan and one adult volunteer, and a printed curriculum is provided for each Sunday. Volunteers other than the parents of the children are needed to help staff this program. Please speak to Dan.

Year IV of IIQ
Our Children’s Church School program, IIQ, meets Sundays in the Lower Level of the Meeting House at the 10:10 Education Hour. For more info, please click here.

Children's Choir
The "Good News! Singers" (Grades 1-3) meets Sundays in the music room for rehearsal until 10:00 (children go to Worship Service and then go to choir mid-service). "Jubilate" (Grades 4-8) rehearses Sundays at 11:15 in the Music Room. Each choir sings at a worship service approximately once a month. For more info, please contact Lee Larsen at (703)356-3042.
